Freelance Fridays

I love my job. I know, I’m a lucky gal. I ESPECIALLY love Fridays. As a freelancer I get, well, no holiday pay. No sick pay. No guaranteed income. No pension. None of that. But, on the plus side, on a sunny Friday, I can go ‘sod it’ and put away the chaises I’ve been working on all week (more of that later) and do my own thing. This Friday, I ‘refreshed my shop offering’. Sorry to be talking like some pr*ick out of The Apprentice, but all that means is, I tarted up some cushions and posted them. This is in anticipation of Chr*stmas Craft Fairs and pressie buying. You, my Dear Reader, can beat the rush.

I think I can safely GUARANTEE* these cushions have cloud-repelling properties and will keep you happy as the nights draw in.

Bannermania- Or How We Moved Workshops

Phew. I’m not doing that again. That is it. They are going to have to carry me out of this place FEET FIRST. Wrapped in a shroud of my favourite vintage brocade, born aloft on a pyre of half-renovated armchairs.

We moved. We have quadrupled our space and returned all the furniture scattered about in Bristol in other people’s garages/ spare rooms/ dungeons. The Diaspora has returned to the Promised Land. And yea, for that land was in Easton. And yea, they looked upon the Workshop and It Was Good.

You will find us in one of the workshops, behind these doors, at 10 Bannerman Road BS5 0RR. There is a telephone line, but no handset, as yet, so that is a secret. YES! We run a business WITH A SECRET TELEPHONE NUMBER. There is a dartboard. And an oche. Come and throw some darts while you feel the quality of the furniture. Do NOT throw the darts AT the quality furniture.
